Guest scott leader Posted 19 September , 2004 Share Posted 19 September , 2004 Pals I have been asked this question, for insurance on your collection, what type of cover would be the best, the normal house insurance or a separate company, can anyone recommend any? HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 19 September , 2004 Share Posted 19 September , 2004 For such specialized items they should really be seperately covered,it will be expensive ,something that must be assessed against the risk,Specialist Insurers can be found ,I think,{if not they will be able to recommend someone}on the OMRS site I believe & in Medal News Etc. Ski Posted 19 September , 2004 Share Posted 19 September , 2004 Scott, Medal News have a specialist insurer that they recommend. Give them a ring at Token Publishing (01404 44166) for more info? Ski
SteveB Posted 29 March , 2005 Share Posted 29 March , 2005 Hi Scott, Out of interest, did you get insurance sorted out? If so, who did you go with? Cheers SteveB
Derek Robertson Posted 29 March , 2005 Share Posted 29 March , 2005 I can recommend "Specialist Household Ltd" who supplied me with a good level of cover at an affordable price. Their website is at Specialist Household The premium was in addition to my existing Household Insurance and they required a detailed inventory list/valuation report but this was quite easily achieved on production of receipts etc.
