Hi,

A soldier I am researching was transferred to the above batn. in Sept 1916 from the 1/5th Lincolns. He served with them (as far as i am aware) to the end of the war. It says on the bottom of his MIC (slightly difficult to decipher, but) 'o/c R Warwicks fwds nom roll of individ entitled to the Emblem 9/11/20.'

Does anybody know what this statement means, or what the 'Emblem' was?

Regards,

Steve

I think that clasp and roses are connected to Mons Star and that emblem (oak leaf) is for Mentioned in Despatches.
