Hi

Would anyone have access, please, to the War Diary for

1st Battalion, Loyal North Lancs for October 1918.

I have a man DoW on Sunday 6 October 1918 and would be grateful for the WD for this period,

Many thanks,

Graeme

The Lancashire Regiments Museum at Fulwood barracks Preston should have a copy if you can get there. Alternatively if you look on the National Archives web site the diary may have been digitised in which case you could purchase a copy. If all else fails I am planning a trip to Preston in a few weeks time and could photograph a few pages for you while I am there.

Mark

If you do get chance that would be most excellent, thank you.

As he died on the 6th, a couple of weeks before would be most helpful.

Cheers,

Graeme

Hello

Just wondering did anyone obtain the diary for the 1st week of October 1918 ? I am just looking at a soldier William Riley 44375 1st Battalion, died October 2nd 1918 in France. Looking through details of kia around this time. It would appear that some 1st battalion L N Lancs are buried here SEQUEHART BRITISH CEMETERY NO.1
