Hi everyone,

A rather sorry question from me: I know that I once had in my possession - and have now misplaced - an enlistment form of some sort for my g-uncle James Rae Muncie into the RNVR in 1913/14 (he applied to join in March 1913, had his medical in March 1914 and was accepted into the service in April 1914). He subsequently was posted to the RND, and then (post-Gallipoli) to RN sea service. I still have his RNVR record of service, his RND record of service, his subsequent RN record of service, and his medal cards. The document I once had contained additional information about his employment (including the name of the employer, Fairfield the shipbuilders) and details of his medical examination. As I only had it in hard copy I suspect I obtained it from a print-out from a visit to the National Archives, but now not only have I lost the document, I can't even find what it might have been, what series it might be, and how I can get a replacement! The NA website just seems to point me in the direction of the documents that I still have. Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

Munce

Thanks both - horatio, you've jogged my memory: the lost record was one I had obtained from the Fleet Air Arm Museum. I shall get back in touch with them.

Many thanks,

James
