I was wondering if anyone can help me with an enlistment date for:

100814 Private Harold Roger Hewitt 2nd DLI killed 23 October 1918

100603 December 1915 as a starter and might be very close to your number date wise. I have been called to evening meal so will add to it later unless others have already.

Later: some lack of continuity in numbering (from some SWB lists) as related to date of enlistment:

100504 on 31.5.1916

100284 on 22.2.1916

101301 on 16.2.1916

101541 on 15.1.1916

You need some other input from others who might know of the DLI in more detail.

Thank you for your efforts in sorting out this problem

I have look at the SWB lists and I agree they is significant lack of continuity.

However I was think that this may have something do with the Derby Scheme

Men were allotted numbers but were not call up until their class was called.

Its just an idea
