flers1916 Posted 23 August , 2013 Posted 23 August , 2013 A simple question I hope. My grandfather was Percy Tatton, Lance corp. Corps of Royal Engineers. He is listed on his medal card ' R.E.(T) 2242' and 'R.E. sapper 165946' - what does the 'T' stand for?
flers1916 Posted 23 August , 2013 Author Posted 23 August , 2013 Thank you both - perhaps I need now to 'dig' a little deeper.
jay dubaya Posted 23 August , 2013 Posted 23 August , 2013 I will add that the 2nd number is not a territorial number
ss002d6252 Posted 23 August , 2013 Posted 23 August , 2013 R.E. T.F numbering is discussed here http://www.1914-1918.net/TF_renumbering_re.htm Craig
