Arthur Stanley holder died 26/8/1918

Just trying to find what battle he died in, think think it may have been the battle of Albert Amy info would be great as he was my great grandmothers youngest brother. Also would like to know what crest they had

You'd need to access the war diary of his battalion to see exactly what they were up to at the time. Might be available online at the National Archives website or you may have to go to Kew to view it there.

His burial at Daours is interesting. According to the CWGC website, it was a front line burial ground at the beginning of August but had become a plot for the burials of deaths at the adjacent field hospitals. He died of wounds so will have been at one of the hospitals - that probably means he suffered his fatal injuries sometimne in the previous week.
