Terry Carter Posted 17 August , 2013 Posted 17 August , 2013 Birmingham born Pte Samuel Clarke 11950, 6th Dorsets died of wounds on 13 Feb 1917. He is buried in Guards Cemetery, Combles. So I guess the battalion were in the front line not too far away. Can a forum pal give me the info on the 6th Dorsets for 13 Feb 1917 please. According to the letter sent to Clarke's parents, he was wounded in a violent artillery bombardment. Thanks Terry
connaughtranger Posted 17 August , 2013 Posted 17 August , 2013 They were in trenches, recently captured by the Yorkshire Regt, at Sailly-Saillisel
