Does anyone know which German unit(s) were in an around the Hannebeke/Fortuin on over the period of 26th-30th April 1915 ?

Ah - good point Roger, it certainly would help.

1915 - 2nd Ypres.

It is difficult to be absolutely certain, but my best estimate is 51st Reserve Division, with RIR 234 of 101 Res Inf Bde prime candidate for being located in the area you mentioned.

The 6th DLI were in action in and around the Hannebeke (filling the gap between Hill 37 and Gravenstafel) assisting the Hampshires and then moving slightly further east to assist the Royal Fusiliers. I'm been adding bits and pieces to to my site on the 6th but as yet I'd not been able to find out who was opposite them.
