Kevin Tobin Posted 10 August , 2013 Posted 10 August , 2013 I am researching a 1914 star I have bought for 11329 Morgan Bevan - RFA. His service record is online and one of the entries is ---- 11/5/1918 – MHS to 2nd Southern General Hospital Bristol Does anyone know what MHS is please. I will be really embarrassed if it is obvious!! Thank you for looking or helping. Kevin
Mike_n_Tracey Posted 11 August , 2013 Posted 11 August , 2013 Hi, Hospital ships had the prefix HMHS - I am guess it was recorded incorrectly as MHS. M&T
David Porter Posted 11 August , 2013 Posted 11 August , 2013 It could be Medical History Sheet. The date is not 1918 as he was in France from 12/04/18 to 03/08/18. It is more likely to be 1915 when he had his ear trouble in Wimereux and Rouen and was evacuated to England 30/04/15 arriving at 2nd Southern General Hospital, Bristol on 01/05/15. His medical history from France arriving later.
