micks Posted 8 August , 2013 Posted 8 August , 2013 Hi all On the 20th of August at 14.00hrs there will be a renaming service in Marfaux British Cemetery for Sergeant Leonard Maidment. He was k.i.a near the village on the 20th July 1918 and buried as a unknown Sergeant of the Hampshire Regiment. A few years ago a case was put forward to the MOD and the evidence has recently been excepted. I will be at the service but I don,t operate a car so I was wondering If anyone else will the attending and driving from the U.K. I,m quite willing to assist with the fuel costs. All the best Mike

Well done to David Tattersfield and the MoD. One more hero's resting place marked appropriately. Kevin
