Bennett Posted 8 August , 2013 Posted 8 August , 2013 Have been trying to find if officer papers exist for the above officer, with Kew not being all that helpful. I am unclear as to whether RAMC RMO were granted standard commissions and whether officer papers existed for these individuals? Any guidance? Thanks
sotonmate Posted 8 August , 2013 Posted 8 August , 2013 I am reminded of something on the same lines recently, but can't put a topic to it. I posted that I couldn't find any record for an RAMC officer and (I have an idea it may have been SPOF ? apologies if not, that man !) a reply came that RAMC records were not available after war's end. Edit: now looked and found a thread on this Forum on the subject. You want showtopic=191797 of July 2013, though this prob wasn't the one I looked at.
Admin spof Posted 9 August , 2013 Admin Posted 9 August , 2013 As sotonmate says, papers for RAMC officers on war service only or temporary commissions were destroyed bteween the wars. IF he signed up as a regular, it SHOULD still be around but probably with the MoD.
