Records of Horses Supplied to the Army in World War 1

I have been speaking to an elderly gentleman who has been told that his father broke a large number of Clydesdales for a farmer who supplied them to the army. He was wondering if it would be possible to verify this. While I doubt if we could verify that his father broke the horses, I wonder if it would be possible to find out if the farm did supply the Remount Service? (So far I have found the farmer showing and judging Clydesdales in the summer of 1914.)

Does anyone know if records of where the Remount Service obtained its horses exist? I have started looking at a very long list from TNA's Discovery, but haven'y found anything useful so far.

Roger.
