Black Sapper Posted 5 August , 2013 Posted 5 August , 2013 William COY - 34747 RAMC - MIC for 15 Star, V & BW medals. RAMC Records at Woking confirmed his rank of Corporal for the 1914-15 Star Roll 07.05.1920. He first went to France on 20.06.1915 Frank COY - 89219 Liverpool Regiment 206723 RAMC - there's Pension Records on Ancestry & a second RAMC number #7252554. Served with 20 Coy RAMC Served at home with RAMC from 30.09.1919 to 29.09.1920, 1 year exactly, enlisitng under AO %/1919 Short Service for 1 Year only. Also served with King's Liverpool Regt for 1 year 355 days making his pension count 3 years & 97 days. His Liverpool Regt service was from 01.01.1917 with initially 50th Training Reserve Battalion, until 21.01.1919 & demobilised to 'Z' Reserve. But I think he was 'deemed to have been enlisted' from 24.06.1916 You need to search this 10 page record because he was also compulsorily transferred to Royal Flying Corps 29.12.1917 then transferred to Royal Air Force 01.04.1918 but then this was annulled on 28.04.1918 & he went voluntarily transferred to 1st Bn. King's Liverpool Regt. http://search.ancest...src=&pid=707062 MIC for V & BW Medals

Black Sapper Posted 6 August , 2013 Posted 6 August , 2013 There are Seaforth experts on the GWF who will certainly pop up to help you I have no doubt? But you may need to post a new topic for Charles Coy, Seaforth Highlanders so that they get flagged up on it?
