sheilmar27 Posted 4 August , 2013 Share Posted 4 August , 2013 I am trying to help a teacher who is researching my relative, Joseph Gillies, born Glasgow, 1899 or 1900. Joseph was in the 1st/6th Bn Seaforth Highlanders, Private S/41873, when he was killed in France on 12th October 1918.We have the basic facts from Ancestry. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of Joseph & cannot find any of his closer relatives to see if they have one. Joseph is remembered each year by the children of Alloway Primary School where his name is on the Memorial as an old boy. The teachers are trying to get more detail on the casualties they commemorate for a project in centenary year. Can anyone help please? Would be really grateful, regards,sheilmar27
