I can't comment on this DVD because I haven't seen it but it is called 'Railways at War - the First World War' from Strike Force Entertainment and costs £30. It is 144 minutes long and appears to cover the business of supplying the front; American standard gauge locomotives being built at St Nazaire and rail-mounted guns. The review I read described it as 'utterly fascinating' and 'unmissable'. The reviewer appears (he claims to have a history degree) to be a graduate of the University of Blackadder ("...our dim-witted army top brass..") so it would be interesting to know if anyone with a more enlightened view of the war has seen this.
