Thanks Sean. I have done the tour twice, first with Teddy, secondly with Don. Superb on both occasions. I have 2 relatives coming over from Minneapolis and hence the request.

Best wishes

Teddy and Phoebe have left now and there were temporary staff there when I called in last September. Just call in when you are there, you can join the tour at short notice. They are closed on Mondays.

I was at Ulster Tower Saturday last to organise a guided tour of the wood and a lunch for a party of 30. The new custodians are Don & Maureen Mitchell. Contact Number 0033 (0) 322 748 714. Email is the same as above - teddy.ulstertower@orange.fr. Regards Yorke

Teddy Corrigan conducting one of his famous tours in Thiepval Woods. He and Phoebe were legends at Ulster Tower. Phoebe seemed to be able to conjure up instantly sandwiches and tea for large bus parties that would arrive unannounced, a lot of times on her own whilst Teddy was over in the woods. They have now returned to their home in Belfast.

They are a great couple and Teddy owns a Westfield as well! he has a great collection of cars.

The new couple are also great and he took us on our last wood tour and it was very informative!

Earlier this week I was in the Ulster Aviation Society's museum http://www.ulsteraviationsociety.org/ (well worth a visit) beside the former Maze/Long Kesh prison outside Belfast, and was delighted to see a group of visitors being guided round by none other than Teddy Colligan. Y' just can't keep a good man down......
