Captain Kenneth (?) Stoker

Stoker was in command of the composite battalion - I think - at Le Quesnoy where he fought a rearguard action with Captain Combe and 100 men. I can't find any detail about Stoker - possibly because I have the incorrect initial. Has anyone got anything on this guy please. My source also tells me he had won - or was about to win - the MC?

He was, apparently, just plain Kenneth Stoker.

Only K. Stoker in August 1918 Army list, 10th Bn. King's Own Liverpool R.

Commissioned into King's Liverpool Regt. (Territorial Force) 1916 on probation.

Kenneth Stoker son 25 single average adjusters clerk born Northumberland, Newcastle

+ two sisters Maude and Kathleen Burdon Stoker, and two servants.

(The only Kenneth Stoker found in the 1911 census)

Relinquished his commn. 30th Sept. 1921......

Lt. K. Stoker, and is granted the rank of Capt.

There is no Kenneth Stoker on WO338

He is in WO 374 for TF and Temporary Commissions - WO 374/65732.
