Beselare Posted 20 July , 2013 Posted 20 July , 2013 The diary of the 9th Battn., Rifle Brigade is not yet available online from the N.A. Pte. John Eastment was killed in action on 24th June 1915 and I am trying to find the location of the 9th on that day. In Nigel Cave's book, Sanctuary Wood & Hooge, there is a sketch map on page 50 showing the 9th attacking Marsh Farm Houses and G8 trench opposite Hooge on 30th July, but I cannot find reference anywhere as to where they were on 24th June although I am assuming it was somewhere near Hooge. I noticed from searching some old threads that there are some members who might have the diary for this date, or that of the 42nd Infantry Brigade to which the 9th was attached. Many thanks in anticipation. Bob
