Anyone on know if these would grow in the American Southwest? Zone 9 i believe.

I don't know Ken, I thought they were quite hardy and might survive extremes but the ones I have planted are really struggling and after today, suspect they are probably waterlogged again! I signed up on the Poppy Pledge this evening tho'

These pix taken today 15.07.2013 in fields in Ravensthorpe, Northamptonshire, East Anglia - I though they looked nice? (Taken by my son's father in law - we live in the Caribbean so don't see many poppies! Planted some seeds about 3 years ago, they have flowered each year ....this year about 20 blooms each about 6 inches across
