hmsk212 Posted 13 September , 2004 Share Posted 13 September , 2004 Hi Can any of you experts out there please tell me where the badges were produced. I have heard a tale that the badges with Vertical Pins were made by the Royal Mint and that those with Horizontal Pins were made by Spinks. Just wanted to know if this was true or yet another of the many stories surrounding Silver War Badges. Steve
Ed Matthews Posted 13 September , 2004 Share Posted 13 September , 2004 Steve The badges were manufactured, I believe, by J R Gaunt & Sons Ltd. (London) although other sub-contractors may have been involved. Rgds Ed
