Remembered Today:

Interviews with German WW1 Veterans

I wasn't quite sure where best to post this, but I came across these interviews (luckily dubbed!) with German WW1 veterans which appear to have been filmed in 1980. Most of them seem to be about Verdun but I haven't had time to listen to all of them yet. Enjoy!

Thank you Stuart. I found these very interesting and I was grateful for the subtitles! Can't understand why you haven't had more replies, but possibly quietly appreciated by those who did click through (54 views at the moment) or may have been missed

These interviews were compiled by a certain buy "1infanteriedivision" on youtube. I attempted to find more such interviews from WW1 with no success. Maybe somebody else here is more succesful.

But I found a very remarkable large aural interview in 50 !!!! parts from the mentioned source. It is all about what a Stuka pilot has to say about his WW2 flying against Belgium, Britain, Greece et cetera:

Sadly he is speaking in English language

Ant, in the link several parts out of 50 are missing. I found a couple more today, starting with part 29. From there it is possible to find more parts of the interview by following the youtube spur:

OMG, it goes on and on , just found until part 64!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely fascinating this guy.
