From the info you have above I am tempted to say that they may have been attached to the 10th Irish Div units during/from their Gallipol times and transferred with them in the veterinary role when the 120th Div went to Salonika..

They appear to have moved up to the Kosturino ridge with the 10th Div after they had landed at Salonika and thus were involved in the retreat from the Kosturino ridge. The positions there were only held for a short while and the retreat took place in really bad cold weather - frostbite being a common problem. O do wonder if they were then returned to theeir Aussie units after they got back to Salkonika at the end of 1915.

Hello,

Have you searched on Australian War Memorial's 'search for a soldier'? The link is https://www.awm.gov.au/people/roll-search/all/?preferred_name=&service_number=&unit=&conflict=0&op=Search

I've had a quick look and Rowland Arthur Dowling appears in Honours & Awards, and Arthur Wyndham in Embarkation Rolls.

Hope this helps,

Martina
