pete-c Posted 17 May , 2013 Share Posted 17 May , 2013 Mike, Wonderful to hear Moorhead's voice. Having had a copy of his book for a few years now, dipping in and out of it for research , I think I must now make a concerted effort to read it from cover to cover. I first became aware of Alan Moorehead from his trilogy of books about the North African desert campaign of WW2, wonderful writing. Thanks for making this recording available. Pete. David Filsell Posted 17 May , 2013 Share Posted 17 May , 2013 The book was recommended to me in about 1964 by an English teacher - it was probably the firsdt serious book bout theWW1 that I ever read. I remain thankful to the teacher, 'Ajax' Waddilove, and to Moorehead both.
