billybloggs Posted 3 October , 2014 Share Posted 3 October , 2014 Hello dink 999 Thank you so very much. I've waited for 66 years to see his darling face again. I really cannot thank you enough. I am deliriously happy to see this image of my grandfather after waiting so long. I'm not sure if it is the image or my laptop but the image I can see is rather grainy and almost double focus on screen. Would there be any possibility of a photograph being posted to me if I give my details and pay in advance for all costs?..if you tell me where to send it. regards billybloggs

Blackblue Posted 6 November , 2014 Share Posted 6 November , 2014 Much appreciated Dave, Have some great stuff from the local papers as his father was a regular correspondent - giving them letters and snippets from the boys. One article indicates Jack joined the RGH at 15 and later went out to work in Western Australia before the war. He then returned and joined the Met, but they would not release him at the start of the war. Eventually released and joined around May 15.
