Rob Chester Posted 25 April , 2013 Share Posted 25 April , 2013 Hello All, Sorry if this has been answered before, but can anybody recommend a supplier of an accurate replica British Uniform. It is for WWI interpretation with schools next year. I need a Soldier and a Munitions Worker. I have looked on line and failed to find anything and an email to a local reenactment group got no response. Any help would be very welcome as 2014 is coming very fast. SimonMoore Posted 25 April , 2013 Share Posted 25 April , 2013 http://khaki-on-campaign.webs.com/ I can recommend Dickie Knight here for quality and accuracy in the uniform, as for webbing I think Lawrence Ordnance would be the top in the market today, can be bought through Khaki Devil in the UK. Peter Zieminski Posted 25 April , 2013 Share Posted 25 April , 2013 Rob You may also want to consider trying Steve Kiddle - excellent quality reproductions - http://www.pegasusmilitaria.com/contact.html
snapperxv Posted 31 May , 2013 Share Posted 31 May , 2013 Agreed Khaki Devil, Khaki on Campaign and Pegasus are the way to go. Avoid "The History Bunker " like the plague brilliant spiel absolute dross I know someone who believed it - their stuff is only fit for the bin. Dave1418 Posted 2 June , 2013 Share Posted 2 June , 2013 (edited) Hi, Pegasus is by far the best quality that you will find and it is cut to the correct pattern sized up for the more modern taller chaps that we are today. Rob Chester Posted 2 June , 2013 Author Share Posted 2 June , 2013 Thanks for the advice, I had seen History Bunker - but will avoid it now. Thanks
RobL Posted 2 June , 2013 Share Posted 2 June , 2013 Another 'vote' for Pegasus here. My kit from him has lasted over five years now with no problems at all. The old adage of buy cheap buy twice is so true with WW1 uniform/equipment etc suppliers
Guest yulzari Posted 16 February , 2014 Share Posted 16 February , 2014 Some very useful links above but can anyone similarly point me in the direction of 1860-1880 replica British uniforms? The period falls post Crimea and pre South Africa so it seems neglected although there is a little crossover. Even uniform patterns would be a help. Thank you.
