Black Posted 24 April , 2013 Share Posted 24 April , 2013 Hello all, (or more correctly: kia ora all,) Here's the link to the New Zealand Government's website and other social media links for their Centenary of WW1 activities. I don't think this has appeared on the GWF as yet, but here it is: http://ww100.govt.nz/ Regards, Black
Captain Dave Posted 7 June , 2013 Share Posted 7 June , 2013 Hmmm, lots of info on the site, but not much detail. The links are all pretty blank.
German IR 169 Posted 10 December , 2014 Share Posted 10 December , 2014 It was interesting for me to learn about the sacrifices of the New Zealand Division outside of Bapaume in the August 1918 Battle of the Somme. For those interested, I've included a chapter on the subject in my recent book, Imperial Germany's 'Iron Regiment' of the First World War: War Memories of Infantry Regiment 169.
