just wondering if anyone can throw any light on Major Henry Reynold Poole. He served in the Boer War in 36 Company, Southern Division RGA as a Lt ( awarded the QSA 5 clasps & KSA 2 clasps ). During the Great War his mic shows him entering france on 14th may 1915. He was awarded the DSO ( lg 14.1.16) , OBE (lg 3.6.19 ) , French LdH (lg 24.2.16 ) and was mid ( 1.1.16) . he was also awarded the 15 star, BWM & VM.

Other than that I haven't been able to find out anything about him - what unit he served with where etc. Unfortunately his papers were not available at the PRO.

Any information on him would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Simon

Search for previous details by Dick Flory elsewhere on School Memorial Rolls on this web - he may well be able to help, or try Paul Evans at the RA Historical Trust at Woolwich - email if you need more details to locate these.
