olosangus Posted 8 September , 2004 Share Posted 8 September , 2004 just wondering if anyone can throw any light on Major Henry Reynold Poole. He served in the Boer War in 36 Company, Southern Division RGA as a Lt ( awarded the QSA 5 clasps & KSA 2 clasps ). During the Great War his mic shows him entering france on 14th may 1915. He was awarded the DSO ( lg 14.1.16) , OBE (lg 3.6.19 ) , French LdH (lg 24.2.16 ) and was mid ( 1.1.16) . he was also awarded the 15 star, BWM & VM. Other than that I haven't been able to find out anything about him - what unit he served with where etc. Unfortunately his papers were not available at the PRO. Any information on him would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Simon
ALANJONES Posted 8 September , 2004 Share Posted 8 September , 2004 Search for previous details by Dick Flory elsewhere on School Memorial Rolls on this web - he may well be able to help, or try Paul Evans at the RA Historical Trust at Woolwich - email if you need more details to locate these.
