Birth Place: Horse Bay, Doiley, Shropshire

Cause of Death: Killed or died as a direct result of enemy action

Official Number Port Division: Ply./15571.

Horse Bay, Doiley, is Horsehay, Dawley, and as for Park Lane, Salop, narrows it down to 8,363 possibilities.

I haven't had cause to look at these before. I see that there are no original records. Are you saying it is the original records that are wrong and cannot be trusted or Ancstry indexing?

I believe the UK, Royal Navy and Royal Marine War Graves Roll, 1914-1919 were extracted from the primary source

errors introduced into the records during transcription

therefore these records cannot be trusted to be accurate, as I found out rather annoyingly

It is always advisable to seek the primary source of the records to ensure accuracy

I could have phased the header on my post a a little better, it was getting late
