Philip Wilson Posted 29 March , 2013 Share Posted 29 March , 2013 There is a short three page write up on CPO George PROWSE V.C., D.C.M., in 'The Road to Victory 1918; by Gerald GLIDDON in the VCs of the First World War series published in 2000. He enlisted in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on 25 Feb.1915. There were far more Naval Reservists available than ships to accommodate them so the Naval Division was born with which PROWSE served in the Drake Battalion.
