Remembered Today:

Help identifying French officer at Salonika

DCS

Recommended Posts

Hello, all; I'm hoping someone might help me identify a French officer with the Army of the Orient from the following pictures.

In this one he's standing at the far left:

And here he is next to Gen. Sarrail:

I'd be grateful for any clues to his identity; so far I've found nothing about Sarrail's staff, to which he evidently belonged.

I have logged on at home and I can now see the pictures so I think they are bieng blocked at work.

Sorry but I cannot identify your French General though

One reason for my asking is that I'm considering using the second image in a manuscript I've written and, to that end, would like to be able to identify this officer.

Looking at the full photo, it's certainly possible that's him. At least it's a start, though an Internet search for that name hasn't been helpful. Maybe there's more on him in one of the official histories?

From the beginning you see exact the pictured officer near Marshal Sarrail i think he is his ADC or at least some high-ranking Officer.

Looks like DCS hasn't visited the forum for 4 months.

As far as I remember, the 2 original pics were the following ...
