I thought that Chapter II, the running of a low level war game to practise the giving of orders was most interesting. The thought of going through at least three cycles, each with the two sides coming in separately and giving main orders and subsiduary orders, was likely to be quite demanding on time. Makes for quick thinking. No mention of the massive movement tables required for relief of brigades and divsions in line which were soon featuring in the War Diaries from the Western Front!
