For those with an aviation bent, here's a site that has some early books on a variety of aviation topics...(you have to search for dates that will give information on ww1 aircraft)

Ooops! sorry..... put that down to an age thing....

I did find one book (I forget which), that had all the bi-planes drawn and listed at the back of the book that were used around the era 1914-1918....
