jdajd Posted 25 August , 2004 Share Posted 25 August , 2004 I found this on sale at Barnes and Noble and I wanted to know how good it was. Are the maps truly one of a kind or the generic ones you would find in any history or map book? Thanks in advance Jon
MartinWills Posted 25 August , 2004 Share Posted 25 August , 2004 I've not come across tis one before, though apparently this is a 2004 edition of a 2002 original. I would be interested to know more about the contents - can anyone oblige?
andigger Posted 26 August , 2004 Share Posted 26 August , 2004 Wow... I'd like to take a look at this too. Do you have an ISBN number? Andy
jdajd Posted 30 August , 2004 Author Share Posted 30 August , 2004 Pretty good IMHO. I just got it int he mail yesterday and after a quick perusal I would say it is definitely worth buying. The maps are not the run of the mill ones that would be in any history of the war, but they are sometimes sort of sparse. I would have liked more on the Somme, but the book has to cover all of the fronts included the war at sea. If you are a true map collector you may not be that impressed, but as a neophyte cartographer I am impressed.
