Sorry Mark. 1921 has been very frustrating and there are obvious  lads who qualify but there is not a sausage on them, perhaps a tempting SWB. I will be ploughing through them again tommorrow but they are almost depleted at this stage. You can see lads of 18 and 19 died, some of them died from TB, and you know they are qualifiers but the records simply are not there, and the M.I.C.'s that were usually so helpful don't covered this period.

Sorry Mark.

Doolan

Nothing much on either fold3 card. Kate Doolan's address given as Gortha, Portumna, Galway would seem to confirm the i.d. No cause of discharge on either,

There is a third card that is his pension and confirm date of discharge as 16/7/16. His address is Gurtaha, Portumna on this card. Again unhelpful as to reason for discharge,

https://www.fold3.com/image/1/645016935

There is a 4th one but adds nothing.

SWB Roll indicates sickness. Served overseas (not sure that is correct) and was only serving from 5/2/16

George you reckon that 33998 Pte Doyle is our man? I don't have access to Ancestry but he would have a strong link to Wexford. Does it say that in the record please?

Kind regards.

 Tom.

Doyle 89102 was previously Welsh Regt 43062, R Welsh F 57085

Medal roll indicates

15 Welsh in F+F 15/7/16-31/8/16

10 RWF in F+F 1/9/16-21/11/16

On a War Office wounded list dated 4/12/16 - home town Wexford,

No service papers survive that I can find so far

Forgot to add WFA card gives DOD of this man as 25/5/21.

Well found Bob, George and Mark. Thank you very much indeed. You are all extremely sharp this morning.

Mark  does it say the cause of discharge in Folder 3 please? If Ralph was discharged insane he could be a contender.

 Kind regards.,

 Tom.
