 Here you go.

His records seem to have some conflicting data, including his wife's name one says teresa and the other Elizabeth.

Morning Tom

Hope you are well.

I'm pursuing the USN men still. Very confusing with the two Wheelers who Barry identified and I cant find a sensible answer to it.

Great finds George. I am not sure in George Murray served in WW1 but I will send both Carrolls on to Terry and see if he can find a fit.

Fingers crossed.

Thanks again George!

Next we have Edward Morgan. I have a hunch he might be Irish Guards, but that is only a guess. Can you help please?

As per the WFA pension records #3265 was not married, which ties in. I think it possibly is him but the pension claimed his sister but claim was denied and records don't show whether his death was related to service or not.

Excellent, thank you  very much Craig. I cannot see him being accepted, so i will remember his with the other Irishmen.

Thank you Craig, you are a gentleman.

Kind regards.

3265 Morgan, his 1914 Star roll says "Dis. no longer 15-5-15"; his SWB record says he was discharged as a result of wounds (KR 392 xvi). So no help there.

Excellent progress this morning Tom. I did the research then spent three hours on the allotment with the powered cultivator-resting with a beer now. (And the foreseeable future-well 24 hours anyway so keep them coming if you are inclined)

Best wishes

Hello George, yes is has been a good week actually, we had a successful week, 8 being accepted. In case you are wondering where all these are coming from, Folder3 was not available when I originally went through the D.C.'s and FMP seems to have gotten better with the records, so there will be many more to come.

I envy you having the ability to go out to the garden, your weather must be rather fine where you are? Unlike Irish weather, we know it summer when the rain get warmer....

Kind regards.

 Tom.

Our weather in Suffolk is absolutely fabulous. Well into the 20's and bright blue skies-and fabulous scenery too. Not mountains and moors but green and pleasant and the skies are huge. It's home.

Tom

I think your man is Daniel Donovan RGA #3325.

He was discharged as 'unfit for further...' and then goes on to claim in a letter that he suffered privations while digging trenches-in Ireland and had no family and no pay from the army.

Not certain of course but a strong possibility it is him. Cork, age, gunner...
