That is the very fella George, nicely found!! Thank you for all your help. Sorry George, these naval lads are so difficult to find. So far it does not show any war service, perhaps it will turn up later.

Kind regards.

 Tom.

Nicely found, George thank you! I am sorry that he will not qualify, but he was entitled to a chance anyway. he will be remembered with the other Irishmen that do not qualify.

Thanks again George, you are brilliant with these Naval lads, I dont know how you do it.

Kind regards.

 Tom.

Sliney also appears on the Naval medal rolls. Trio. Issued to widow.

https://www.fold3.com/image/645800411

Gives address of Nok, mother, Margaret as 5, Long Quay, Kinsale. Odd as Married and states passed to widows section - Margaret may be his wife. Same cause of death. Give DoD as 10/7/19. Does not say attributable.

The address is Lisnagoorneen, Castletown Roche, Co. Cork

Relinquished his commission 6th Nov 1918

Half way down on left.

Appears to have been promoted to Temp Capt 6/11/16

So no luck I am afraid
