To be honest, I dont know. I do know that the questionables and unfindables were passed by and those we could nail we nailed. So we are all good to go on the next outing. Stay tuned, same Bat time, same Bat channel.

 Cheers.

 Tom.

Having said all that if Keohane, No 40412, has another folder somewhre else that shows he was discharged with TB we could be on to something, but such a folder is not in FMP.

Update, Coolyduff is in the Parish of Inniscarra, so it looks like it is the right man after all.

Re: Keohane

It's the same file in Ancestry Pensions about him.

Discharged November 1914, "Unlikely to become an efficient Soldier..."

There are (at least) 4 others of the same name, 2 from Irish Regiments, who have MICs:

(The second should read    'Leins.R' )

40412 doesn't appear in this list however.

12900/26651 can be excluded as he was Welsh, and survived the War.

Well done Tom.

Back to Keohane.

Interesting that there is a Pension Record for Michael Keohane of Inniscara, Coolyduff, with parents Patrick & Kate. Born abt. 1887. Discharged 1915 with pleural effusion, sputum negative for TB. But suspicious nevertheless.

I wonder what became of him?

A good spot Dyfed! I have no idea what happened to him, perhaps he might turn up as we go through 1919, 1920, and 1921.
