Should any Member be interested in the Kibata fighting, which was the nearest thing to Western Front conditions during the East African Campaign, then please glance at:

http://www.westernfrontassociation.com/great-war-on-land/other-war-theatres/2724-the-first-and-second-battalions-of-the-second-regiment-nyasaland-of-the-kings-african-rifles-at-kibata-german-east-africa-december-1916-to-january-1917.html

Because only Part 1 of the Official History of the campaign has been published the Kibata actions are relatively unknown.

You can walk into the site and find the remains of the fort if you wish.
