rodlondon Posted 19 October , 2012 Share Posted 19 October , 2012 My grandfather was an early enlistee into the 7th Battalion of the RWKR, 1725 Private Charles William London. He remained with the battalion until the fateful action on the 21st of March in 1918. He stayed in service until the end of hostilities with the Labour Corps. The Royal West Kent Regiment has fortunately a very good history recorded so that I can follow the Regiment's travails during the war, and with that my grandfather's experiences - to a degree. I am trying to determine in which company that Charles served. With that I can more accurately track his experiences. Given the loss of official records that could help my investigations, is there some way that Charles' grandson (I am also a war veteran) able to track down this critical piece of information? Any advice will assist a grateful Australian immensely. Many thanks in anticipation. Regards, Rod.
