Noor Posted 10 November , 2012 Share Posted 10 November , 2012 I am working constantly with the RDF masterfile project and I add into it as well enlistment dates, what are possible to find. Based on that, I can narrow down period, when the men enlisted, whithout knowing their own enlistment date. Not 100% accurate but works most of the time. As you can see, it is not cover yet all the service numbers/names but hopefully some day.... it is probably project for a liftime Regards, Timo
IPT Posted 10 November , 2012 Share Posted 10 November , 2012 Hi Timo, 11923 William Boyle has service papers. He also enlisted 17/8/1914. (Not that this narrows down Morrisey's enlistment date, unfortunately). The 17th was a Monday. I wonder if the recruiters had the weekend off? Noor Posted 10 November , 2012 Share Posted 10 November , 2012 Thank you IPT! I add that date in but I do not check the papers yet. I am still working with the medal rolls, KIA lists and starting slowly add in SWB rolls. Service papers and Pension papers I wanted to leave in the end (when at least full WW1 VM/BWM medal roll and transferred out MICs are recorded), for a cross checking and to fill major caps. Thank you again, Timo
