myos Posted 16 October , 2012 Share Posted 16 October , 2012 William Victor Dagger, born 1887, in Lytham, Lancs. According to MIC went to France in October 1915, and died 29.04.1916, he is remembered on the Basra Memorial. Probate 1920 gives death as November 1916 in Turkey. I can find no mention of his medal entitlement for Victory Medal or British War Medal. Can you shed any light, please? Andy
roughdiamond Posted 16 October , 2012 Share Posted 16 October , 2012 2nd MIC listed as 3968 AM2 Victor Dugger on the NA's http://discovery.nat...=75&image1.y=12 looks like it's listed as Victor Duggin on Ancestry http://search.ancest...3FD9_x&uidh=000 I meant to add, it'd be interesting to see the card to see why 2 sites got 2 different listings. roughdiamond Posted 16 October , 2012 Share Posted 16 October , 2012 Can't see how Ancestry could possibly mis read that as DUGGIN, I'm not a subscriber, but can I suggest you contact them to get the listing changed? It may save someone having the same problem in the future. Sam
