You are very welcome Tom ~ Warneton is an area of keen interest to me and I follow this thread to learn more.

Apologies if the original link to the AWM 28th Infantry Battalion did not work, AWM have changed their search system.

I became slightly bamboozled trying to re-locate it :blink::mellow: Hope we have action now with the new digitised images.

There are some other useful aerials of the area in the 44th Infantry Battalion diary for March 1918, I'm beggared if I can open the pdf file to view them.

Maybe you will have better luck!

Hi Wendy, unfortunately I get the same link not working from my end when I tried the link..... not to worry, our access to records are far easier now than just a few years ago...

So I'm grateful for small mercies..!!!

Another Rooster building.

This one says La Basse Ville which is by Warneton.

The building looks slightly different, maybe a re-build.

No, this is the original pre war building.
