Patrick Watt Posted 11 October , 2012 Share Posted 11 October , 2012 Dear All Does anyone happen to know where I could find a nominal roll for the 16th Canadian Scottish in 1914-1915? I know several archives have them in Canada but was wondering if there is an online version? Yours hoping! Patrick
sotonmate Posted 11 October , 2012 Share Posted 11 October , 2012 Http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/cef may be able to help. I have seen the odd nominal roll here and there. Sotonmate
Moonraker Posted 11 October , 2012 Share Posted 11 October , 2012 This lists the men of the First Canadian Contingent, including the 16th. Probably compiled in early November 1914, shortly after the Contingent's arrival on Salisbury Plain. It contains a number of anomalies, and quite a few men were moved from one battalion to another in early 1915. And this should be a link to an actual nominal role.
