ss002d6252 Posted 9 October , 2012 Share Posted 9 October , 2012 On 13th February 1916 the 6th DLI (and 151st Bde) were "stood to" due to a German attack across a 4000 yard frontage and expected to be sent to the front line trenches. On 14th February 1916 the were expecting to be ordered to " retake the “International Trench” 800 yards of which the enemy had taken by mine explosions which made it untenable for us and 600 yards of which he still held".. I believe that 149 Brigade had been manning the trenches in the area but does anyone known which battalion(s) had been manning “International Trench” and what had actually happened across 13th/14th February.
