Lyndon Posted 4 October , 2012 Share Posted 4 October , 2012 Dear Fellow Posters, I hope someone can help! I'm looking for the London Gazette entry for Captain Leo Berkeley Paget's Military Cross. I have an LG date of 3/6/18 but frustratingly I can't find it on the LG website site. I found a few other mentions of him for promotions etc.. and his M.I.D in 1917 but, nothing regarding his MC. Am I doing something wrong in the search or am I missing something?.......... Any help gratefully received. Yours, banging my head against the wall. IPT Posted 4 October , 2012 Share Posted 4 October , 2012 It's not a citation on 3rd June 1918 unfortunately, just an entry. http://www.gazettes-...pplements/6469/ I think these were the King's birthday honours, and so the MC may not have been awarded for a specific act, but for general good service. Hopefully, someone can clarify.
Staffsyeoman Posted 4 October , 2012 Share Posted 4 October , 2012 Yes: awards gazetted either in the Birthday Honours (June) or the New Year Honours (January) are generally periodic - as opposed to 'immediate' - and do not have citations published in the London Gazette.
