nigelfe Posted 5 October , 2012 Share Posted 5 October , 2012 Shrapnel bullets were well enough understood to be able to calculate their kinetic energy. Shell fragments initally have something close to the velocity of HE detonation, this varies quite widely depending on the type of HE.
