David Lea Posted 3 October , 2012 Share Posted 3 October , 2012 I'm not sure if this request comes strictly under the remit of this particular forum but here goes anyway... My grandfather appears to have spent a significant part of 1917 posted to the 41st Division Y41 Trench Mortar Battery in France. As I understand it, the letter 'Y' refers to a 'Medium' battery? I appreciate I might be asking too much for a photograph of this particular Division / Unit but I would like a copy of a photograph/s of a Trench Mortar Battery that would be similar to the type of battery in which he served. Any help offered would be gratefully appreciated. Kind regards David
