National Archives and MICs

We seem to have lost access to Documents Online and the new way in seems complex. I had started assembling a list of TF RFA numbers for one unit by the old method of inserting the new number, RFA and nothing else on the MIC enquiry form. This gave me many former numbers, allowing some clues to pre war service etc.

Has anyone found a way of doing this on the new TNA system?

Agree that it is 'orrible alright. But if I am understanding you right you should still be able to do the same thing.

I never got a card - did manage to get a record of an entry on a medal roll. If you can do what you want to do let us know how you did it.

My faculties may be growing dim. It takes me to a page that tells me all about MICs but doesn't seem to have a search facility.

It's the same search fields as before but the layout of the returns is different. You also seem to get the whole WO reference for an individual record

e g

WO 372/13/197966

instead of just

WO 372/13

before. Don't ask me what I would use this reference for. It's just something I noticed that's different
