clarkefamily06 Posted 30 September , 2012 Share Posted 30 September , 2012 Trying to find out where the 3rd batt royal fusiliers were on the 4 november 1918, I have the medal of a Frederick percy smith GS/96247 who was killed in action on this day.He also served with the suffolk regt No17185 enlisted lowestoft I have medal index cards he has 2,One with British war medal and victory and the other one has the 1914-15 star was the star medal issued later ? sjustice Posted 1 October , 2012 Share Posted 1 October , 2012 149th Brigade, 50th (Northumbrian) Division at the Battle of the Sambre on 4 November 1918. 3/RF launching the brigade assault alongside 13/Black Watch just south of the Mormal Forest on the approach to the canal.
